Yanomani

Yanomani is one of the many snakes that are kept by private owners, but who cannot take care of the animals. The animals are brought in by the owner at an animal shelter or are taken in after they have been dumped and found by other people.

Nagini

Nagini was kept as a pet by a young man. When the man decided to travel abroad, he left the boa constrictor with his parents. Only he never came back. His parents then brought Nagini into a reception centre. Now Nagini has been given a permanent home in De Zonnegloed where she is wanted and cared for with love.

Where does he feel most at home?

You will find the boa constrictor in the moist and warm tropical rainforests of Central- and South-America.

What's his favourite food?

Boas like rodents, birds and monkeys.

Fun fact

They don’t lay eggs. The eggs hatch in the mother’s body, so it looks like the young are born. This is called ‘ovoviviparity’.
