Where does he feel most at home?

The chinchilla originally lived in Chile and Peru on the Andes mountains.

What's his favourite food?

They are herbivores and will eat mainly dry grasses, herbs and shrubs.

Fun fact

Chinchillas are covered in a very thick fur, because of this they can live in cold temperatures (-5°C) high up in the mountains, but can’t survive high temperatures (27°C) and humidity.

Their teeth will grow continually throughout their lives.
