Eurasian eagle-owl Bubo bubo
Animals in our sanctuary
Rutha
Rutha was found along the way. Probably escaped from a falconer. The owner never came to collect the animal.
Turco
Turco is a bird of prey that was kept by private owners. They then deliberately let him go because they no longer wanted to take care of him. The animal now gets a worthy life in De Zonnegloed.
Jaska
Jaska was brought in via the NHC. An animal that was handed over by the owner because it frightened him and could no longer care for it.
Posita
Posita is one of the many birds of prey that are kept by private individuals in a much too small aviary or even tied up and given up or left behind by circumstances.
Now Posita is sitting in a very large aviary where she can stretch her wings and even take a bath once in a while.
