Bundi was kept together with Strigo in a dirty cat crate. One of the volunteers of Birdcare Center (VOC) Beernem was able to convince the owner to give up the barn owls and thus give them a better future.

Barn owls have been introduced on some islands to fight rodent nuisances.
Unlike other birds, barn owls don’t build up a fat reserve for the winter.
