Snowball
Snowball was seized together with several other animals from people in Belgium. The animals were kept there illegally and were very poorly cared for.
Where does it feel at home?
The long-eared hedgehog is found in the steppes and deserts of Asia.
What does it like to eat?
It hunts at night. It feeds on invertebrates and small vertebrates such as beetles, grasshoppers, toads, lizards, small snakes and rodents. It also eats the eggs of ground-breeding birds, grains and fruit.
Fun fact:
The long-eared hedgehog can go for a period of several weeks without drinking water.
