Huey

Huey comes from a private owner whose daughter received the turtle as a present together with 2 other turtles. The daughter was not interested in taking the animals with her when she left the house and after 11 years the turtles had grown so big that the water tank became much too small. Despite the fact that friends had advised to dump the turtles, the private individual looked for another solution.

Animals are regularly given as gifts. Unfortunately, they do not take the animal itself into account. Taking a pet is a conscious choice in which one has to take into account a commitment that lasts as long as the age the animal can reach.
