Mikado comes from people who bought 3 gerbils. They were assured that it were three females. Unfortunately, this information was wrong and the people suddenly had a litter. As they did not have enough room for the extra animals, they started looking for a new home for them. Mikado eventually found a place with us in De Zonnegloed.

Where does he feel most at home?

The Mongolian gerbil likes to live in the semi-deserts and steppe areas of Mongolia.

What's his favourite food?

They like to eat fruit, cereals and grains.

Mongolian gerbils have an amazing ability to jump. They can jump 1 meter far and 50 cm high.
