Achilles comes from VOC Geraardsbergen. He was brought in by someone who had found the animal. These types of birds are not indigenous animals; he was probably released by his previous owner or had escaped its enclosure.
Where does it feel at home?
The crimson rosella lives in the wetter areas of eastern and south-eastern Australia. These are mainly semi- and fully wooded areas.
What do they like to eat?
They like to eat grass and weed seeds, fruit, berries, nectar, pollen, insects and larvae.
Fun fact:
It is striking that this bird species is a passionate gnawer.
